Dean of Student Life and Senior Associate Dean of the College Holly Sateia  
Holly Sateia became Dartmouth's dean of Student Life and senior associate dean of the College in December 1988 after working in the Admissions Office for fourteen years. As dean, she works with the Student Life staff to enhance the educational, social, and cultural experience of all Dartmouth students. In August 2007 she was appointed interim vice president for Diversity and Equity.

For several years Sateia served as chair of the Dartmouth's Women's Caucus, an organization that served the needs of women faculty and staff. During her tenure, she coordinated the first workplace environment survey of all the College's female employees and worked with several committees to act on the results. Since 2000 she has represented the College at the Consortium on High Achievement and Success (CHAS), and was recently elected to its steering board. Comprised of thirty-four select colleges, CHAS is dedicated to promoting high achievement and student satisfaction on member campuses with a focus on promoting success among first generation college students and students of color. Sateia serves on the College's Committee on Student Life and the Alumni Council's Student Life Committee. She also advises the Student Assembly and works with Palaeopitus Senior Society.

Holly Sateia lives in Norwich, Vermont with her husband, Michael '70, a professor of psychiatry and director of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center's Sleep Disorder Center, and their two children.
